Nissan Silvia PS13

1988–1993

Another Silvia which never made it to our shores. The PS13 was the saloon equivalent to the first 200SX we saw in the UK.

In addition to a saloon style rear end, the PS13 also featured fixed headlamps rather than the flip-up style found on the S13 200SX.

This was the first Silvia to feature the J's, Q's and K's trim levels. Which is a reference to Jacks, Queen and Kings from playing cards. Additional permutations of trim were designated by suits. The daddy was the Silvia K Diamond, which featured front fogs, spoiler, electrics and most significantly, a Limited Slip Differential.

This was and is a very cheap car to use as a drift mobile in Japan, however being import only to the UK means this car can cost as much as a decent spec S14a.

Models after 1991 feature the SR20DET engine found on all of the subsequent Silvias. This remains one of the most popular drift engines due to it's tunability, and reliability. The CA18DET having quite the opposite reputation!
