Honda S2000

1999 - present

s2000

While the S2000 is not as popular in professional events, it is seen by many as a far superior drifter than the more popular Nissan Silvia. With a torson LSD and 6 speed manual box as standard, little modification is needed to turn the Honda's roadster into a drifting machine.

The x-bone chassis is incredibly stiff, so even though this is a convertable, the car is rigid enough for hard track use. The front/mid mounted engine ensures that the weight is distributed over the rear of the front wishbones. This gives the car a near 50/50 weight distribution which adds even more attraction to this car as a drifter.

The S2000 is the weapon of choice for Team RS*R. Tyler McQuarrie recently took over the driving seat from Alec Pfeiffer's drift spec S2000, which was race-prepped by Design Craft Engineering. The team also race the Silvia S15.
